What are you looking for in WoW?:
WoW has become a great way to fill my time and give me an escape into a realm of fiction for a few hours. Wow has inspired a great deal of my artwork and I am absolutely in love with the lore. I've contemplated, more than once, writing stories that involve my character's interaction with Azeroth and the over-all storyline of the game. I'm looking for WoW to keep my mind keen and entertained.
What are you looking for in a guild?:
I am looking for an environment with people who are understanding and kind. I would love to progress with a guild that is still making a push for content as I have not completed all of it myself (Ulduar and Malygos, for sure). I am looking for a stable environment that will allow me to be myself (and I'm pretty silly) while realizing that the game is not a form of employment or greater obligation.
What guilds have you been in? Describe your experiences in them and why you left.:
Lextalionis Guild - Quel'Dorei. Guild Leader. It's amazing how things work, isn't it? We pushed so hard and worked to make sure we were doing well. One taste of Ulduar. One taste of success seemed to sit too sweet on almost everyone's tongues. Soon everyone decided that Naxx was no longer required. OS/Maly/Vault were superfluous. Heroics? Who needs them when our raid group is strong? -Sarcasm- If by -we- you mean -I-, then sure. There was a lot of work. But cooling hot heads began to wear. Easing the minds of our new members grew far more grueling at best. One person can only care so much. One person can only push so hard. When they gave up I continued my efforts until I grew burnt out and agitated. I lead through circumstance. I'd rather be in with a group of people that work well -together- and be told where and who to heal while having fun in the same step. Wow is a game not a job!
If you have multiple alts 65-80, would you be willing to substitute them in to instance and raid runs instead of your main, if necessary?:
Yes
What makes you a player that would enrich PtV?:
While I found myself to be a reluctant, but able leader, I find that I make a better 'eager supporter'. I'm usually quite content and try to hearten situations when times are rough. I am talented, but understand that there is always room for improvement. Suggestions are welcome, flaming, however, is not.
Describe yourself and your playstyle.:
Normally I tend to go above and beyond even for heroics. I tend to blow through elixirs/flasks during raid time and usually have the stuff it takes for my personal buffs as well as reagents. I keep a pretty clean raid bag that is refilled, usually, before I close the game. I like to be ready to go when the call is heard!
I tend to be rather hard on myself when I fail to live up to my personal expectations and sometimes need to be assured when I'm doing well- -it's silly and perhaps a little childish, but it's amazing what morale will do for anyone!
On a personal level - I am a 26 year old with a loving husband (retired resto druid). We've only recently bought a house in Kansas and enjoy fretting away the hours with our games when we are not working. I adore drawing and designing things for both web use and print. My current project involves a local band to which I support completely!
I tend to be quite shy when I'm first introduced to a group of people. Please, if I am accepted do not take this as being stand-offish in a bad way.
I think that's about it. I'm trying not to write too much of a book.
How did you learn about PtV (guild member, in-game chat, WoW forums)?:
Advartisement in the GuildRecruitment channel in-game.
I have read, understand, and agree with the goals and charter set forth in the About PtV section.:
Yes
