He Was Named Dranosh...
Pay Heed and Honor the Fallen!
This week the members of Peace Through Violence have been champion to the honor of the Saurfang line. In deference of Varok the Elder, we have brought justice and peace to his son, Dranosh, known to all as Saurfang the Younger, late hero of the Battle of Angrathar the Wrathgate. Let the passing of this noble brother to us all stand testament to the honor of the Horde and the duty we all bear. The axe that was sundered has now been made whole. Let the name of Dranosh be the epitath spoken at the fall of the Lich King.
Lok'tar ogar!
Over the past three weeks, our members have been hard at work pushing deeper into Icecrown Citadel, the final bastion of the Scourge and the seat of power of the Lich King. In all of our runs inside ICC10 during this time, we have cleared all the way through to Saurfang. This week, we cleared straight through to Saurfang without difficulty and downed the Deathbringer on our third attempt. The guild showed great focus and every member present performed at an exceptional level of skill. It would be difficult not to say that this bodes well for our progression and I expect to see numerous attempts upon the bosses in the Plaguewerks this coming week; however, it is still essential that all of our members continue to work as hard as they have this week. This is an outstanding accomplishment for our guild and one that surpassed almost everyone's expectations. It is a moment we should all remember with pride.
And those who step forward..
I'd also like to take a moment to congratulate two of our members on their recent promotions: Ebonfang and Juanvaldez. Ebonfang has long been a pillar of our raiding force and one of our primary DPS players. He is one of our most prized weapons against our targets. More than that, he is an exceptional member, representing the friendly, good-natured demeanor we look for in all of our members. His quips in raids have often proven the perfect defusing force in tense situations. We are proud that he has chosen to accept his officer nomination and join us in leading the guild.
Although one of our newer members, Juanvaldez has equally distinguished himself as a skilled player and an outstanding member. Recently, he has stepped forward and taken the lead in setting up Sunday night "recruitment" raids, aimed at proving both an alternative raid time for members who cannot attend our weeknight raids as well as focusing on non-members to introduce them to our guild and into our raids. Following a short period as a Tribunus, Juanvaldez will be soon joining Kearsarge as another Tribunus Legio, a Raid Leader. We are lucky to have his drive and enthusiasm and he will make an excellent addition to our raid leadership.
Again: congratulate these two, for they represent some of what makes this guild as good as it is. But also look on yourselves, for each of you is as skilled and as good of an example as they. We are looking for more who would take the lead like they have, both in place as a Tribunus or as another of our Tribunus Legio. I know there are those that have similar drive and dedication to this guild and I would welcome your self-nominations.
The Throne must fall
With our recent successes in ICC10, it is clear that we are prepared and ready for its challenges. What obstacles we faced nearly a month ago, we have overcome. While it is by no means easy nor should we grow lax, we are pushing deeper into ICC each week and therefore it is clear that we should focus our attentions there.
Therefore, aside from the weekly quest raid and VoA (when available), our weeknight raids will exclusively focus on ICC10. The majority of our raiders are geared equal to or superior to ToC10, so ICC would clearly be a better target for our efforts and our time. This is not to say that we will not be raiding TOC again, though. Clearly, if our roster is light on a given night or our raiders not properly geared or it otherwise feels appropriate to do so, then we will of course have a ToC 10 run. And, obviously, the Sunday night raid will always be ToC10 as well. But in all other cases, ICC10 will be our established target each and every Tuesday and Thursday night.
We have done well this month and I anticipate we will continue to succeed in the coming days and weeks. We have seen new forces rise in our midst, more fully complimenting our already strong raiding roster. It is only a matter of time until the Lich King lies at our feet.

I'll be back in full effect this week and for the future I should be available on Thursday raids. Tuesdays will be hit and miss cause it really just depends on whether I can get out early enough to make it back in time for the raid. So I won't sign up but I'll try to hop on incase you guys have openings.
