re: GP Derivations

Some questions have come up about how GP is derived by the addon we used so after a bit of scrounging, I found the following information on the EPGP Mod Thread:
GP = 0.483 x 2 ilvl/26 + (rarity) x slot mod
Of course, that means next to nothing, but you can follow the linked thread for a full explanation of how it's calculated.
Now, what's more important is that we've been handling some weapon loot incorrectly for some time now. Specifically, people who received weapons that were considered one-handed potentially received vast discounts (50%) on their loot. This includes two-handed weapons that CAN be one-handed, like the [Citadel Enforcer's Claymore] . All of these weapons have two values on them. One (the higher) is considered the main-hand value, since main-handing any weapon is considered of more value than off-handing a weapon (which is the lower value). We've been awarding all of those weapons, one-hand and two-hand by that lower value.
Nearly ever weapon we've had drop has been like this, with the exception of [Midnight Sun] . So far, only Cardiana and Tawas have been awarded this item, which has a price of 581 GP. While this is the correct value for this weapon, all other weapons awarded have been discounted by 50%, so the only way (well, the easiest way) to correct this error retroactively is to also discount their weapon loot by 50%. That has already been done by removing 292 GP from both of their values.
Note that this error only affected weapon's values. All armor, trinket, shield and ranged values have been handled appropriately.
Moving forward however, the correct values will be implemented. Main-handed weapons will use the higher value of the two. Off-handed weapons will use the lower value. Keep in mind that off-spec and minor upgrade discounts will still apply.
If anyone has any questions about how GP is derived. I encourage you to visit the above linked website and grab a calculator. In researching this, I can say that the equations they are using seem pretty straightforward, but there's a lot of variables, so I'd encourage a thorough read to full understand it.
